Data deletion

Last updated 19 October 2026

Truenazo holds very little, and all of it lives on the operator's own machine. Here is how to revoke its Instagram access and erase what it stores.

Revoke Instagram access

  1. Open Instagram and go to Settings, then Website permissions (or Apps and websites).
  2. Under Active, find Truenazo and choose Remove.

Removing the app invalidates the access token Truenazo holds. It can no longer publish anything until it is reconnected.

Delete locally stored data

  1. On the machine running Truenazo, stop the daemon.
  2. Delete the Instagram entries from Truenazo's state directory (by default ~/.truenazo), or delete the whole directory to erase every piece of stored data, including the token and the published-media log.

Request deletion by email

If you believe Truenazo holds data about you and you cannot follow the steps above, email support@broadvista.ai with the subject "Truenazo data deletion". You will receive a reply confirming what was found and that it has been deleted, normally within 7 days.

Because Truenazo connects only to its operator's own account and reads no other person's data, such requests are expected to be rare.
